Rev. Cynthia Tootle, Associate Minister

Cynthia Lea Tootle is an ordained Interfaith Minister. She studied with the All Faiths Seminary International. She is a former president and secretary of the
Chapel Board of Directors. Rev. Tootle’s ministry includes monthly services that honor the Goddess in innovative rituals that respect the traditions from which each Goddess comes and the sensibilities and needs of the modern woman.

​She uses her creativity to create services and classes that introduce people to many kinds of spiritual practices that open one up to intuition and spiritual energies. She is also a Spiritual Healer, a Reiki Master and author of Dialogue with the Goddess.

Rev. Jane Batt, Associate Minister

Rev. Jane Batt has been involved with the Takoma Metaphysical Chapel for 20 years. At the Chapel, she is an Associate Minister where she may lead the meditation circle or provide insightful messages directly after service or at the Chapel's monthly All Message Service, which is held after the Sunday Services on the second Sunday of the Month.
 
Rev. Jane also teaches classes and workshops. She shares healing energy and inspires an occasional sing-a-long. Rev. Jane is known for amassing good news from around the world to share with others.

Rev. Lisa Rae Brooks, Associate Minister

Rev.  Lisa Rae has been a member of Takoma Metaphysical Chapel for 17 years. At the Chapel, she is an Associate Minister, Reiki Master, Healer, Spiritual Intuitive, Manager of Ministers, and Teacher of A Course in Miracles, and other topics.
 
She is a former Trustee of the board. Her intuitive gifts support people in "How To" whatever it is that they desire in
life.

Rev. Tonya Parker, Associate Minister

Rev. Tonya Parker has been called a Renaissance Spirit as she uses her Libra energy to balance a lifetime of healing work. She has worn the hat of Mental Health Counselor, Prevention Specialist, Corporate Trainer, Massage Therapist, Reiki Master/Teacher, Professor, Conscious Caterer, Communications Coach, Workshop Facilitator, Voiceover Artist, and Writer.
 
She offers healing sessions for private and corporate clients, coordinates retreats and other sacred gatherings, and produces and hosts her podcast, Mind, Body & Soul Food, on Blogtalk, Spreaker and iHeart Radio that gives voice to the vision of healers and lightworkers. She simply sums up what she does as spiritually inspired and guided healing, teaching, and writing.

Dr. Claire Nelson

Dr. Claire Nelson is Ideation Leader of the Futures Forum and serves as an expert fellow for TECHCAST Global – a leading foresight knowledge network. A social entrepreneur, Dr. Nelson’s career has included groundbreaking accomplishments at the Inter-American Development Bank and the founding of the Institute of Caribbean Studies.
 
A sought-after speaker, facilitator, writer, storyteller and minister, Dr. Nelson has been a speaker and teacher at Takoma Metaphysical Chapel since 1999.

Rev. Susan Duncan, Associate Minister

Rev. Susan Duncan is an Associate Minister at the Takoma Metaphysical Chapel.  She was ordained and graduated from One Spirit Interfaith Seminary in New York City.  Rev. Duncan has studied metaphysics since the 1980's. 
​
She is also a Crystal Healer, and has a profound love of nature, especially crystals, gemstones, and minerals. She has extensively studied these gifts of the earth/mineral kingdom and their effects on the environment and on the human body, mind, and spirit. Rev. Susan  is committed to bringing more joy, love, and compassion into everyday life.

Rev. Barbara Stevens, Associate Minister

Rev. Barbara Stevens has been a psychic, hypnotherapist and healer for the past 35 years and has been with the chapel for 25 years. She is certified with The National Guild of Hypnotists. 
 
Rev Stevens teaches a 4-week series of classes entitled: "Develop Your Sixth Sense," and is available for readings, counseling and hypnotherapy or occasional singing.

Rev. Aurelia Carr-Olverson, Associate Minister

Rev. Aurelia Carr-Olverson, Associate Minister, and her family have been active Chapel members since 2003. She currently serves as Board Treasurer, having served as President in the past. She has actively led the Building Committee since October 2018 and has been a long-standing member of the Hospitality and Special Event Committees.Rev. Aurelia has served as Chair of the Membership Committee and Co-Chair of the Special Events Committee in the past.
 
She currently is a Teacher of A Course in Miracles and Introduction to Metaphysics. Rev. Aurelia is retired from the United States Air Force after 22 years of service, where she served as a Logistics Officer. Rev. Aurelia says she “Loves God, loves her family and loves this church!
